Meet Our Team

Dr. Alan C. Jensen earned his dental degree from the University of Oklahoma and his Master of Science in Orthodontics degree, from Baylor University. He is a member of the Utah Dental Association, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists® and the J. Dean Roberts Society. Dr. Jensen and his family are active in community affairs. He has practiced orthodontics in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas since 1988. He is also a Utes fan and enjoys golf, wakeboarding, skiing, fishing and all other outdoor activities.

“I’ve been practicing in Utah for 30+ years … Long enough to lose my hair. I attended Utah University, completed dental school in Oklahoma and my orthodontic residency at Baylor — I’m red through and through! I enjoy the process of watching patients start and finish their treatment — I’ve been told I straighten not only teeth but minds too. I am the proud father to three doctors and have nine grandchildren that are even better!”

Krissi has been working with Dr. Jensen for 24 years! Krissi and her husband Jeff have two children that keep them happy and busy. Krissi grew up in Idaho. As a small child, Krissi had a horse that could count by tapping his foot on the ground and could also fetch his own saddle. Krissi is very creative and loves to entertain friends and family at her beautiful new house.

“I’ve been with Dr. J for over 17 years. I have two grown daughters and four beautiful grandkids. Who knew I could love being a grandma this much?! If I’m not working, you’ll find me bobbing at my favorite lake.”

I’ve been treatment coordinating with Dr. J for over 27 years, but who’s counting? My husband and I have three grown children, who I’m very proud of, and one adorable fur baby. I tend to be the go-to for planning and parties — my weekends are busy. As a family, we love four-wheeling and being outdoors.

I have been with Dr. J for three years now! I absolutely love getting to know all of the families and cute faces that come in and see our team! When I am not at work, you can find me with my hubby and three kids, who are my whole world, or with a Diet Coke at T.J.Maxx!

“I’ve been an assistant for Dr. J for seven years. I enjoy running, having completed my first marathon in 2021! I’ve been married for eight years, with one adorable fur baby, Grizz. As a family, we love hiking, camping and shed hunting.”

I’ve known Dr. J forever! He did my braces. Once I graduated, I started with Dr. J and have loved it since. I recently got married and have two fur babies. My husband is going to school and we love being newlyweds. I love all animals and being outside!

Dr. Douglas Anderson grew up on a small farm in central Utah before attending BYU. He then went to dental school at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He earned his master’s degree in craniofacial biology and orthodontics, also at Baylor. Dr. Anderson has been a member of the American Association of Orthodontists®, the American Dental Association®, the Utah Association of Orthodontists, the Utah Dental Society, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists and the Northern Utah Orthodontic Study Group.

Dr. Anderson and his wife, Lorraine, have four children, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law and six beautiful grandchildren. Their family hobbies include exploring the mountains on ATVs, fly fishing, attending concerts and plays, and traveling to many parts of the world. Dr. Anderson enjoys woodworking and has done some beautiful remodeling projects in their home and yard. He often says being an orthodontist is the best job ever!

Karen has been in orthodontics for over 25 years. She was born and raised in South Jordan and often gets asked: “Is there anyone you don’t know in South Jordan?” She loves meeting new patients and getting to know so many great people. She is a mother of four and grandmother of eight. She and her husband, Al, enjoy traveling, camping, boating and spending time with family and friends!

Mandi has been Dr. Anderson’s scheduling coordinator at our South Jordan location for over ten years. She enjoys getting to know our patients and their families. She loves her work family and truly enjoys what she does. Mandi and her husband have three beautiful kids who keep them extremely busy. She is known for finding good deals and being sarcastic, and you will not catch her without a Coke Zero in hand.

Mari has been an orthodontic assistant for eight years and is a great asset to our practice. She is the mother of an amazing little boy, Sebastian. He is her world! She recently got a little fur baby who she also loves so much! Mari is a busy woman with many different talents. In addition to being an orthodontic assistant, she also works as a hair stylist.

Mariana has been an orthodontic assistant for five years and has been a great addition to our staff. In her free time, she enjoys working out, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. Mariana is one of the kindest individuals you will ever meet! She is known for paying attention to detail, and we love that quality!

Kylee has been working with Dr. Alan Jensen at our South Jordan location for some time now. This is her first experience in orthodontics and she loves it! She enjoys getting to know all of the patients. Kylee graduated from Utah Valley University in May of 2020 with a degree in behavioral science. In addition to orthodontics, she also teaches various styles of dance. In her free time, she enjoys boating, watching movies and spending time with her husband. Kylee loves working for The Smile Ranch and the fun and positive environment it brings.

Hi, I’m Sara! I grew up in Idaho and have lived in Utah for the last 20 years. I have been doing ortho for 27 years and I love it. I have four children and one grandbaby. I enjoy the outdoors: hiking, paddle boarding, camping, playing pickleball and reading books on the beach.”
